Lorry driver among three arrested for house break theft

The Gauribidanur police cracked a house break theft case and arrested a 50-year-old lorry driver along with two of his associates and recovered valuables worth ₹35.15 lakh from them.

The accused Noorulla, a resident of Jigani, and his associates Vinod and Sagar had burgled the house of Ashwath Narayana Reddy and escaped with 417 grams of gold valuables, 2 kilograms of silver articles, and other expensive gifts totalling ₹35.14 lakh.

Based on a complaint, the police zeroed in on the accused. While chasing them, the vehicle carrying the police team lost control and toppled. The injured police continued to chase and finally caught Noorulla.

Based on his information, the police arrested his associates and recovered the stolen valuables. The fourth accused Ameena Bi in this case is absconding and efforts are on to track her down, Kushal Chouksey, SP, Chickballapur district, said.
