Tourism Minister R. Rajendran and Labour Welfare and Skill Development Minister C.V. Ganesan distributed welfare assistance to beneficiaries in the Makkaludan Mudhalvar camps held at Thalaivasal panchayat union in Salem district on Thursday.

Tourism Minister R. Rajendran said that in the last two days, a total of 2,557 petitions were received from the public and grievances of 792 petitions were addressed.
Tourism Minister R. Rajendran and Labour Welfare and Skill Development Minister C.V. Ganesan presided and received petitions from the public on the third day of the Makkaludan Mudhalvar special camps held at Kattukottai, Siruvachur, Thalaivasal, Manivilundan, and Kamakkapalayam in Thalaivasal panchayat union on Thursday. In the camps, the Ministers distributed welfare assistance worth ₹10.30 lakh to 110 beneficiaries.
Minister Rajendran said that through these special camps, preference was given to the issues of people and government services were provided to people at their doorsteps. On Thursday, the camps were conducted in five places and would be held till Friday.
Labour Welfare Minister Ganesan listed the schemes implemented by the Tamil Nadu Government and welfare assistance provided to people. To address the grievances of people quickly, the Chief Minister introduced the Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme. The petitions received in these camps would be addressed within 30 days. In the camp held on Wednesday at Thulakkanur, a differently abled person petitioned for a job and on Thursday, the person got a job with a salary of ₹10,000 near his house, the minister added.
In the camps, District Collector R. Brindha Devi, District Revenue Officer (DRO) R. Ravikumar and officials participated.
