A 48-year-old government school teacher was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on Thursday.
Sivakumar of Sasthri Nagar in Erode district is working as a physical education teacher at a government school in Omalur in Salem district. On February 2, he, along with students, went to a seminar at a polytechnic college in Omalur. At that time, Sivakumar allegedly misbehaved with a plus-one girl student. Later, the girl informed about the incident to the school headmaster. The headmaster conducted an inquiry and lodged a complaint with the Omalur All Women’s Police Station. The police registered a case and are investigating further.
