A 52-year-old man was electrocuted in MGR Nagar on Thursday. The MGR Nagar police have filed a case and are investigating.
A senior official of the city police said V. Pattabhiraman lived on Angala Parameshwara Street and worked as a temporary worker for the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. When Pattabhiraman was cleaning a sewage tank in the locality, he was electrocuted after the iron rod he was holding accidentally touched a low-hanging electric cable.
