YouTuber Masthan Sai arrested in cybercrime, sexual exploitation case

The Narsingi police has arrested YouTuber Masthan Sai in connection with an allegedlarge-scale cybercrime and sexual exploitation case involving illegally recorded private videos and hacked personal data of multiple women, including teenagers.

The case came to light after Actor Raj Tarun’s wife Lavanya, a resident of Kokapet Village, filed a complaint on February 2, said the Narsingi police.

“According to her statement, she had known 33-year-old Ravi Bavaji Masthan Sai since 2022. In November 2024, she came into possession of a 4TB hard disk from Masthan Sai’s residence, which contained a vast amount of illegally obtained private content, including explicit videos and hacked personal data of women. Many of the victims remained silent due to fear of damage to reputation,” said the police in an official release.

Lavanya alleged that Masthan Sai had been drugging women to exploit them and record their private moments. On January 31, 2025, he allegedly confronted Lavanya at her residence, demanding the return of the hard disk. “When she refused, he attempted to strangle her and damaged household property, including a television and CCTV cameras. Fearing for her safety, she fled to a friend’s house and contacted the cops via the Dial 100 emergency service,” added the police.

Two days later, on February 2, Masthan Sai, allegedly under the influence of drugs, returned to her residence with two associates. They reportedly held her brother hostage while again demanding the hard disk. Lavanya subsequently handed over the device to the police and requested authorities to seize and delete any remaining incriminating data from Masthan Sai’s electronic accounts and devices to protect the victims.

Based on her complaint, police registered a case invoking various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including those related to criminal trespass, destruction of property, attempted murder, and digital sexual harassment.

Police arrested Ravi Bavaji Masthan Sai and served notice to his accomplice Shaik Khaja Mohiddn, a businessman from Guntur under section 35(3) of the BNS.

Authorities seized laptops, hard drives, and mobile phones from Masthan Sai’s possession. Upon interrogation, he allegedly confessed to the crimes.
