Wife accuses Abids DI of dowry harassment

Wife of an inspector working with Hyderabad police lodged a dowry harassment complaint against him on Saturday, senior officials confirmed.

The complainant, identified as K. Sandhya, lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand against her husband K. Narsimha, a Detective Inspector with the Abids police.

In her complaint, she claimed that her husband is torturing her since the time of their marriage in 2012, and is seeking additional dowry.

This comes after a dowry harassment case was booked against K. Narsimha in Nalgonda and a case of kidnapping was booked against the woman after she allegedly took their daughter with her without informing the family, an official from the Abids police clarified. Both these cases were booked between November and December of 2024.

The couple have two children, a girl aged 10, and a boy aged 5. Owing to personal issues, they have been living separately.
