Under the looming presence of the Bhalswa landfill in Northeast Delhi, thousands of families live in unbearable conditions, polluted air, toxic water, and the constant stench of rotting waste. Every day is a struggle, yet today, when asked if they will vote, their answer is a resounding yes.
Despite years of broken promises, they hold on to hope, that this election will bring real change. They dream of a day when their leaders will finally act, removing the mountain of garbage that looms over their lives, giving them clean air and water and a future free from disease. For them, voting is not just a right, but a plea for change.
