VSEZ records exports of ₹69,733 crore in December quarter

Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone Development Commissioner Srinivas Muppaala on Thursday said that VSEZ recorded exports to the tune of ₹69,733 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year (October-December), registering a growth of 20% compared to the corresponding period in the last financial year.

Of this, service exports are ₹40,996 crore and merchandise exports ₹28,737 crore.

From April to December last year, VSEZ recorded exports to the tune of ₹1,99,396 crore, registering a growth of 22% compared to the corresponding period the previous year. Of this, service exports stood at ₹1,19,786 crore and merchandise exports at ₹79,610 crore.

The Duvvada VSEZ, in October-December, made exports of ₹1,695 crore registering a growth of 28%. During the period from April-December, the Duvvada unit made exports of ₹7,092 crore registering a growth of 24%.

In Andhra Pradesh, approval has been granted to Super Ranila for processing and manufacture of edible oils in Duvvada.
