The trio were doing woodwork for the interiors of the house and were using a gas cylinder. A leak from the cylinder led to the fire, said the police.

The fire control room received a call around 11.10 am and three tenders rushed to the spot. They doused the fire after three hours of operations. They later recovered the charred bodies of the workers while checking the debris.

The Magadi road police visited the spot and are conducting a probe to ascertain the exact cause of the fire.
