Tirupparankundram row: AIADMK refutes Madurai Collector’s claim of their representative refusing to sign in the minutes of peace meeting

Claiming that Madurai Collector M.S. Sangeetha had given a false statement that an AIADMK representative had refused to sign in the minutes of a peace meeting organised in connection with the Tirupparankundram hillock issue, the party has demanded that she withdraw her report.

Party leaders and MLAs, Sellur K. Raju and V.V. Rajan Chellappa, said that no party representative was present in the meeting held by Revenue Divisional Officer (Tirumangalam) on January 30 as the party did not get any invitation for the meeting.

In their petition submitted to the Collector, they wondered how the Collector gave wrong information even without having extended the invitation to the principal Opposition party on an important law and order meeting.

“AIADMK is a party which is above any caste and religious discrimination. The Collector has fallen prey to the attempt to put blame on AIADMK,” the petition said.
