Kauvery Hospital, Tiruchi, has been recognised for excellence in stroke care by World Stroke Organisation (WSO).

The hospital has been conferred with the ‘WSO Angels Diamond Status’ award for 2023-2024, in commendation of its stroke healthcare services.

At a press gathering on Monday, Jos Jasper, head, Department of Brain and Spine Surgery, at Kauvery Hospital said: “The award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, which is committed to providing the best outcomes for stroke patients.” Dr. Jasper said medical assistance for stroke should be sought within the first four hours to improve chances of recovery.
