Three injured in a scuffle at Gandhi Market over parking of a vehicle

The Gandhi Market police have registered separate cases in connection with a scuffle that broke out between two groups at Gandhi Market here on Wednesday night. Three persons injured in the scuffle were admitted to different hospitals for treatment.

Police sources said four persons riding on a two-wheeler and allegedly inebriated reached Gandhi Market sixth gate and questioned the parking of a light commercial vehicle to unload coconuts in front of a shop. This triggered a quarrel between the two sides. The two-wheeler riders reportedly damaged the windscreen of the vehicle and assaulted the shop owner when he questioned them.

Meanwhile, another group reached the spot and had a scuffle with the two-wheeler riders leaving three persons injured.

The Gandhi Market police have booked cases based on separate complaints filed by the affected persons.
