A one-day quiz organised by The Hindu Future India Club (FIC), in collaboration with the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad, received an overwhelming response from college students, with a packed hall buzzing with enthusiasm, in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

More than 500 students from 32 colleges in and around Bhubaneswar turned up to make it a fiercely contested and engaging competition at the Institute of Engineers.
The quiz began with a preliminary pen and paper round, where quizmaster Gautam Bose presented the questions on screen. Based on their scores, the top six teams advanced to the final round on stage.
Meanwhile, as the finalists were being selected, the quizmaster engaged the audience with additional questions, rewarding correct answers with prizes. The enthusiastic audience eagerly participated, making the atmosphere lively and interactive.
The top six teams took the stage as a lively audience of students cheered for their favourites. The competition began with easy questions, which the teams answered confidently. However, as the questions grew more challenging, the atmosphere changed. Excitement mixed with tension, and anticipation filled the room.
Sujit Mohapatra a well-known social activist and founder of Bakul Foundation which leads a public library movement in Odisha was the chief guest for the quiz prize distribution ceremony.
Mr. Mohapatra, who has been instrumental in increasing awareness about volunteerism among students and youths, advised the students to enjoy the quiz competitions and participate in such events to sharpen their knowledge.
He along with Samarendra Kumar Mohanty, assistant professor with IPE, Hyderabad, and S.D.T. Rao, General Manager, The Hindu, handed over the prizes to the winners of the quiz. First prize was bagged by Md. Adeeb Aazil and Siddhartha Rath from Odisha University of Technology and Research, Bhubaneshwar, while second prize went to Kashyap Panda and Piush Prahraj from Silicon Institute of Technology.Sushobhan Dash and Aaditree Raj from BJB Autonomous College was adjudged third in the competition. Three consolation prizes were awarded to Aupita Sahoo and B. Anusri Reddy from Biju Patnaik Institute of Information Technology and Management Studies, Bhubaneswar, Debiprasad Mishra and Piyush Sharma from Ravenshaw University, Parthasarathi Pati and Pradip Ku. Moharana from Utkal University.
