As part of the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the renovated Sri Sathya Sai Premasadan Mandir was inaugurated by R.J. Rathnakar, managing trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, at Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar Complex, at MVP Colony, here, on Friday. R. Himavahni Rathnakar was also present.
The ceremony started with Jyothi Prajwalana (lighting of the sacred lamp) and Veda Aasirvachanam.
Empowering Women
Mr Rathnakar and Ms. Himavahni Rathnakar presented essential livelihood kits to 54 needy women who underwent free skill training at the Sri Sathya Sai Skill Development Centre, and to other needy women. The kits included sewing machines, jute bag making machines, beautician kits, maggam and jardosi embroidery kits, soap manufacturing kits, and wet grinders, aimed at empowering women through self-employment opportunities.
Later, Mr. Rathnakar spoke on the the values of love, selfless service, and the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He later interacted with the students and faculty of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar.

Seetharama Raju, Convenor, City Samithi, Visakhapatnam, were among those who participated.
