The Government Railway Police (GRP), Dindigul, arrested a 35-year-old man on charges of attempt to misbehave with a woman passenger in the unreserved coach on Monday.
Following a complaint received on special number 139, the railway police alerted the personnel for action.
It is said that the accused identified as Satish kumar of Aruppukottai in Virudhunagar district boarded the unreserved coach and sat near a 26-year-old woman. Inquiry revealed that the victim was working in Thoothukudi and had boarded Okha Express. She had purchased a ticket up to Erode.
As the train approached Dindigul at 3.30 a.m., the police team led by Inspector Thooyamani Vellaichami arrested the accused. Further investigation was on.
