R. Sukumar takes charge as Tirunelveli Collector

R. Sukumar assumed office as the new Collector of Tirunelveli on Saturday. Prior to the new posting, he served as Additional Commissioner of Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department.

Addressing presspersons, the Collector said special importance would be given to grievances submitted by the public and immediate action would be taken. All welfare measures such as breakfast scheme for school students, Tamil Pudhalvan, Pudhumai Penn, Magalir Urimai Thogai and free bus travel for women would be prioritised.

To maintain law and order in the district, necessary measures would be implemented ensuring the safety of children and women.

Mr. Sukumar added that the projects undertaken by each department would be closely monitored with direct field inspection conducted to ensure timely completion.
