Nine hemodialysis machines inaugurated at TANKER’s Ambattur unit

The TANKER Foundation on January 23, 2025, inaugurated nine haemodialysis machines at its Ambattur dialysis unit, supported by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). The event highlighted the critical need for affordable kidney care in India, where 2.5 lakh people die annually from kidney failure. TANKER Foundation, which operates 14 dialysis units across Tamil Nadu, aims to provide subsidised care to underprivileged patients. IOCL’s support also includes awareness programmes, screening initiatives, and the addition of creatinine machines for early kidney disease detection. N. Senthil Kumar, Director (pipelines), holding additional charge of Director (P&BD), IOCL, and L.K. Jha, Executive Director and Regional Head, Southern Region Pipeline, participated.
