Soma Sekhar Apparao, who belongs to the 2021 I.A.S batch of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, has been appointed as District Collector of Karaikal region. He is currently holding the post of Sub Collector (South) in Puducherry. An order regarding Mr Apparao’s appointment was issued by Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan in Puducherry on Monday. He was appointed in place of D. Manikandan who was moved to Raj Nivas as Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor.
