Minister for Tourism R. Rajendran and Minister for Labour Welfare and Skill Development C.V. Ganesan will inaugurate the third phase of Makkaludan Mudhalvar special camps in Salem district on Tuesday.
District Collector R. Brindha Devi said the special camps will be held at 20 places in Attur, Pethanaickenpalayam, and Thalaivasal Panchayat Unions for four days from February 4 to 7, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
To ensure these camps are beneficial to the people, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has allocated Ministers to various districts. Based on that, Ministers Rajendran and Ganesan would inaugurate these special camps on Tuesday in Attur. On Tuesday, the special camps will be held at Adi Dravidar Colony at Ramanaickenpalayam, community hall at Pungavadi, Ammampalayam panchayat, Adi Dravidar Colony at Valayamadevi, and on the premises of the primary agricultural cooperative bank at Kallanatham. Through these camps, 44 services belonging to 15 government departments will be provided to the people, Ms. Brindha Devi added. On Sunday, the Collector inspected the places in Attur, where the camps would be held on Tuesday.
In Namakkal, District Collector S. Uma said the third phase of the scheme will be held between February 13 and March 7 in 60 panchayats in six Assembly constituencies. These camps will be held between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Short films to create awareness on these camps would be telecast on local television channels and on digital screens in places where people gather in large numbers, Ms. Uma added.
