Meat shops and slaughterhouses in Coimbatore to remain closed on February 11

All meat shops, including those selling goat, beef, chicken, and pork, within Coimbatore Corporation limits will remain closed on February 11, 2025, in view of Vallalar Day.

According to a press release from the Coimbatore Corporation, Ukkadam, Shakthi Nagar, and Podanur Corporation markets will also remain shut and any violations will result in fines, property seizure, and licence cancellation as per the Corporation’s bylaws.
