Mangalore University (MU) Vice-Chancellor (V-C) P.L. Dharma unveiled the logo for the 27th Dakshina Kannada (DK) District Kannada Sahitya Sammelana scheduled for February 21 and 22 here on Friday, February 7.
Launching the logo at a preparatory meeting for the sammelana to be hosted by the University, Mr. Dharma said the literary meet aims to bring people together and strengthen social bonds. The conference logo reflects the diversity of Karnataka’s culture.
Eminent writer and retired principal of Nehru Memorial College, Sullia, B. Prabhakara Shishila was chosen as the Sarvadhyaksha of the conference. Mr. Dharma said the university was committed to make the conference a grand success.
Jayashree sharma from Kadri Shivabagh has designed the conference logo that depicts the coastal culture.
Karnataka Cashew Development Corporation chairperson Mamata D.S. Gatty, Ullal Taluk Sahitya Parishat president Dhananjay Kumble, conference organising secretary Ravindra Rai Kallimaru and others were present.
