The Backward Classes (BC) Welfare Commission, on Wednesday, sought a detailed report on the fire accident in a boat and a jetty on the Hussain Sagar lake, that claimed the lives of two young men and left at least four injured.
In a letter to Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, panel chairman G. Niranjan asked for complete details of the accident within three days.
This comes a day after S. Ajay’s body was retrieved from the lake following a 48-hour search operation. Earlier on the same day, another victim, identified as 22-year-old Ganapathi, a pyrotechnician, succumbed at Yashoda Hospital.
On the night of January 26, a fire broke out at a boat and jetty during the ‘Bharatha Matha Maha Harathi’ event.
