New Delhi Despite a round the year ban on all types of firecrackers in Delhi, firecrackers were burst outside the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi headquarters and different parts across the city on Saturday, following the BJP’s win.

BJP workers holding party’s flags shouting “Modi” and “Jai Shree Ram” were bursting firecrackers outside the party headquarters.

A party leader said that the party did not buy the firecrackers, but the supporters did it.

On December 19, 2024, the Delhi government imposed a ban on all forms of firecrackers throughout the year in the national capital. “There shall be a complete ban on manufacturing, storage, selling (including delivery through online marketing platforms) and bursting of all kind of fire crackers in NCT of Delhi throughout the year with immediate effect,” an order issued by Delhi government states.
