Fake govt. order: CCB registers cheating, forgery case

The Central Crime Branch officials have registered a case of cheating and forgery against a woman and her associates for allegedly creating a fake government order to appoint a clinical psychologist for Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute .

According to the CCB officials, the accused woman identified as Deepa Ramakrishna, and her associates, created a fake GO with forged signature to cheat people.

The cheating came to light when officials of the information and publicity department alerted the medical education department about the appointment seeking verification.

Shivalingaprabhu Wali, under secretary 2, Medical Education Department, who probed the case and later filed a complaint with the CCB, said in his complaint that the government order to appoint the doctor is fake and even the signature has been fabricated .

The department verified the GO and concluded that the GO order dated September 2024 is fake with the forged signature of Mr. Wali with no records of any such order in the department.
