Erode (East) bypoll 2025 | NTK candidate accuses DMK of threatening booth agents

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) candidate M.K. Seethalakshmi on Wednesday accused the DMK of threatening her booth agents, resulting in 30% of them being absent during polling.

Addressing the media, she stated that booth agents had been tirelessly working for the past week to ensure higher voter turnout. “However, 30% of them were absent. Upon inquiry, it was revealed that DMK cadres had threatened them the previous night,” she claimed.

She alleged that NTK agents were intimidated as part of the DMK’s corrupt and unethical political practices. Expressing her frustration, she stated that both the AIADMK and BJP had boycotted the election due to the DMK’s unlawful activities. “NTK, however, relied on the people and participated in the election,” she said.

The candidate further asserted that the people of this land would definitely respond to this injustice, if not today, then someday. She acknowledged that election officials were dedicated and working hard to ensure smooth polling. However, she accused the DMK of undermining the integrity of the entire election process.
