Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman said on Friday that keeping people in poverty has been the only achievement of the rulers over the last 60 years.
Speaking at a public meeting while campaigning for party candidate M.K. Seethalakshmi in the Erode (East) Assembly byelection, he said that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had claimed Tamil Nadu is a modern and developed State today because of Dravidian ideology. “Government schools and colleges lack basic amenities, while memorials on Marina beach, particularly that of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, resemble luxury hotels,” he said
Pointing out that manual scavenging still persists, he said, “Modern Tamil Nadu exists only in words, while giving ₹5,000 per vote is the real modern Dravidianism,” he alleged.
