Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty and other officials launching ‘Cyberabad Traffic Pulse’ in Hyderabad on Friday.
The Cyberabad traffic police launched ‘Cyberabad Traffic Pulse’, a platform designed to send out real-time alerts on traffic congestion, accidents, VIP movements and city events directly to citizens via WhatsApp, Google RCS, SMS and flash SMS in a bid to manage traffic better, on Friday.
The initiative was launched in partnership with Tanla Platforms Limited, a cloud communications provider based in Madhapur, and Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC). To access this service, citizens can scan the QR code available on official communication channels or register at https://cyberabadtrafficpulse.telangana.gov.in/ with their phone numbers, details about commute and routes on which they need updates. Then the citizens start getting real-time updates based on this information.
Not only does the platform provides alerts about scheduled events, planned traffic diversions, but also the reasons behind disruptions or realistic timelines for clearance, helping citizens make informed travel decisions.
A key feature of the service is the ability for commuters to interact with traffic police through a live chat feature, enabling them to provide feedback or suggestions to improve traffic management in their area. Interestingly, users will receive updates tailored to their preferred routes and transport modes, creating a more personalised commuting experience. The live chat option allows direct engagement with the Cyberabad Traffic Police, enabling commuters to share feedback or improvement ideas via WhatsApp at 87126 63636.
The platform will play a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion and saving commuters’ time by providing real-time alerts, said Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty. Officials clarified that this is not a mobile app but a free message-based service that sends real-time traffic alerts directly to the user’s inbox.
