Comprehensive mini bus scheme guidelines

The Regional Transport Office (RTO) here has issued guidelines for applications and permits under the New Comprehensive Mini Bus Scheme to operate in the district. According to the RTO, in a bid to create transport facilities for hamlets, villages, and panchayats that lack connectivity, the minibus scheme envisions comprehensive connectivity along the following lines. The permitted route must be at least 25 km long; the minimum unserved route length must not be less than 65% of the total length. The start point or the end point of the route must be an unserviced village. The proposed route may be increased through joint consultations with the officials as the case may be, according to the administration release.
