Bright India distributes aids and devices to differently abled

Bright India, an NGO based at Maddadka in Belthangady taluk, distributed aids and assistive devices to 33 differently abled persons on Saturday, February 1, at Ujire.

Distributing the aids and devices, Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) executive director S.S. Anil Kumar exhorted the beneficiaries to make use of their hidden talent to reach greater heights utilising facilities being provided to them.

He said SKDRDP has been providing Vatsalya kits, comprising cloth, nutritious food etc., under the Vatsalya initiative to the needy women. Nearly 20,000 poor people were being given pension by the Trust, he said.

During the event, eight wheel chairs, six each walking sticks and walkers, nine elbow crutches and four water beds were provided to the needy. Akhila Karnataka Jana Jagruti Vedike secretary Vivek Pais, Bright India Treasurer Shishupala Poovani and others were present.
