The Alluri Sitharama Raju district police’s initiative by organising interviews with several companies to provide job opportunities to the tribal youth, at Chintapalli received overwhelming response. As many as 415 tribal youth have attended the interviews.
As part of ‘Prerana’, a community policing programme, the ASR district police have been organising interviews to the tribal students at various places, in coordination with Innov Source Services. The first round of the interviews were organised at Paderu on January 28 and the second round was held at Chintapalli here on Thursday (January 30).
As many as 415 tribal youth from Koyyuru, G.K. Veedhi and Chinthapalli mandals who have educational qualifications of Class 10th and above have taken part in the interviews held at Chintapalli. Of them, 359 candidates have been selected and they will be provided various jobs in Tata Electronics and other private sector companies.
During the meeting, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Chinthapalli Sub-Division, Navjyoti Mishra, has given a call to the tribal youth of ASR district to utilise this series of programmes in order to get employment and to support their families.
The district police also said that youth from Rampachodavaram and Chinturu can avail of the opportunity on February 1 and 3 respectively. The main motto of the programme was to provide large-scale employment to the youth.
Assistant Commandant, CRPF, D. Vinita, Inspector, Chinthapalli PS, M. Vinod Babu, Inspector, Koyyuru PS, P.V. Ramana, and others were present.
