In response to the surge in passengers for the Maha Kumbh, Air India Express is enhancing its services to Varanasi with additional flights. The airline announced that it will increase the frequency of Bengaluru–Varanasi flights from three to four per day.
The airline said that as per the schedule of the additional flights from February 5 to 12, the flight will depart from Bengaluru at 6.30 a.m. and arrive in Varanasi at 9.15 a.m. and from Varanasi, the flight will depart at 9.55 a.m. and arrive in Bengaluru at 12.40 p.m. The flights will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“Varanasi, the gateway to the Maha Kumbh and a revered cultural hub, remains a key part of our growing network. With these additions, we now operate 48 weekly flights from Varanasi, offering direct connectivity to Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, along with convenient one-stop access to 19 other destinations, including Chennai, Kochi, Goa, and Srinagar,” Dr. Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India Express, said.
