TDP polit bureau member and Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy inaugurated cement roads and ‘Gokulam’ (cow sheds) built at a cost of ₹25 lakh in Eguvamitta village of Venkatachalam mandal in SPSR Nellore district on Thursday.
“After the alliance government came to power, real public governance has started again in the State. We have reimplemented the distribution of self-employment loans on subsidy to SC, ST and BC beneficiaries. All the schemes that were implemented during 2014-19 regime have been restarted after five years,” he said.
Criticising the previous government, Mr. Somireddy said, “Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who boasted that he showed the golden age to the people, actually made them suffer during the last five years. Democracy in the State was crushed and people were deprived of freedom. That is why they YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was limited to just 11 seats in the general elections.”
He further alleged that the previous government irregularly converted the land records of the farmers in the name of resurvey. The names mentioned by the YSRCP leaders have been entered in the land records. Ignoring the matters of the people, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy used to lead a lavish life in his palaces.”
He claimed that the YSRCP leaders earned up to ₹300 crore per month via a huge liquor scam in the State. As the investigation has started now, every person involved in the scam will be punished, the Sarvepalli MLA reiterated.
