Mahindra university student’s paper investigates distractions among two-wheeler riders, wins award

An M. Tech student at Mahindra University, Hyderabad, Rahul Sodadasi won the best paper award at the International Conference on Sustainable Smart Cities, which concluded in Chandigarh on Sunday (February 09, 2025).

The paper, co-authored by Mr. Sodadasi, research scholar Samuel Peter and associate professor Saladi S.V. Subbarao, investigated distractions among two-wheeler riders using eye-tracking technology in the city. The paper aims to enhance road safety for two-wheeler riders and contribute to a more sustainable community environment by reducing accidents.

The three-day event saw nearly 300 participants from across the globe and saw diverse sessions on challenges and innovations crucial for building sustainable smart cities.
